For beginners, they may start with the basics of developing good timing with smooth transition between the swing segments: back swing, pause and reversal and power stroke. Then, they focus on club head orientation basics such as square club face consistency.
For the advanced golfer who wants to increase distance, changes may be needed to their established swing mechanics to increase club head velocity. For this example, the golfer may want to delay wrist release to achieve higher club head acceleration later in the power stroke and a faster wrist-cock unwind rate to achieve the high club head velocity while monitoring club face angle and shaft flex.
